Shantae – A Perfect Predecessor | The Completionist

This week on the Completionist let’s take a look at my Shantae review! A cult classic that started on the Game Boy Color. With only a single printing run of cartridges as one of the last games on the Game Boy Color, Shantae is one of the hardest and rarest cartridges to find. Borrowing from the Metroid formula and building upon familiar platformer experiences it was easy to pick up for a new IP. But what separated it from all other games was it’s art-style and character design. Shantae stands out and it’s no wonder how she continues to be beloved in present day.
Let me know what you thought of my Shantae review!
